The Xiegong Bridge is located at the junction of Xixiaolu and Xinhenong in Shaoxing City. It is a single-arch heptagonal stone arch bridge. It was first built in the Later Jin Dynasty (936-946) and renovated in 1685 (the fourth year of the Kangxi reign of the Qing Dynasty). The Xiegong Bridge is 28.5 meters long with a clear span of 8 meters. The bridge deck is in the shape of the Chinese character ‘八’. The top clear width is 2.95 meters. The arch ring stones are 18-20 centimeters thick, and the transverse arch stones are 18 by 18 centimeters. Each arch stone has engraved characters and a lotus seat pattern. Eighty percent of the engraved characters are the names of donors for bridge repair. Opening hours: Open all day throughout the year. The specific opening hours are subject to the on-site announcements of the scenic spot.
