Xiehe Ecological Park is located in the southwest of Xianmen Village, Xinan Town, Chenghai District, Guangdong Province. It is a comprehensive tourist attraction integrating history, culture, natural ecology and leisure and entertainment. In October 2010, it was named as ‘Science Popularization Education Base of Chenghai District Association for Science and Technology, Shantou City’ by Chenghai District Association for Science and Technology. This education base has a certain scale in natural and ecological construction. There are many varieties of pollution-free fruit trees and a number of precious trees in the park. There is also a farm vegetable garden, which has great significance for popular science education. Xiehe Ecological Park in Chenghai District, Shantou City is one of the first batch of national tourism and leisure demonstration units in Guangdong Province. The park is secluded with lush greenery and成片 fruit forests. It is equipped with amusement service projects such as children’s amusement and farm delicacies. It is a good place for rural tourism and leisure amusement. In the center of the park, there is Tang Boyuan Memorial Hall. With the theme of commemorating Tang Boyuan, a Ming Dynasty official in the Ministry of Personnel, a famous scholar of Neo-Confucianism and a predecessor in Chaoshan area, it showcases Tang Boyuan’s lofty integrity and excellent moral character of being down-to-earth, diligent in serving the people, honest and upright, and living a simple and indifferent life.
