The Bell and Drum Tower is situated right at the heart of the ancient city of Xingcheng, built in the fifth year of the Jingtai era of the Ming Dynasty (1454) and renovated in the forty-second year of the Qianlong era of the Qing Dynasty (1777). The tower stands on a square base with sides of 20 meters and rises to a height of 17.6 meters, with three stories, echoing the four city gates and arrow towers, presenting a grand and majestic appearance with an aura of solemnity.
It is open to the public all year round from 08:00 to 16:30, with last admission at 16:00.
