Tianlu Mountain stands at an elevation of 1251 meters. The scenery here is picturesque, with lush greenery all year round, and the azaleas that bloom in spring are particularly enchanting. The resort also features wooden villas, a mid-mountain hot spring park, and other entertainment facilities. Every summer, the Zen Dragon Gorge rafting attracts countless visitors. It is said that Tianlu Mountain nurtured the Sixth Patriarch Huineng, one of the three great sages of the East, indicating its profound historical and cultural heritage.
To explore Tianlu Mountain on foot, it takes about 4 hours to reach the summit, which is quite demanding physically. Alternatively, you can take the resort’s sightseeing vehicle to the top platform and then walk down along the stream, enjoying the beautiful scenery along the way. From March to May each year, the azaleas on Tianlu Mountain are in full bloom. On the way, you can also experience thrilling activities such as zip-lining and rafting. When tired from the activities, you can relax at the hot spring hotel. The resort is open year-round from 09:00 to 17:00. Gorge rafting (business hours for 2023 end on October 15): 13:30-15:30 (please arrive at the resort in advance to collect your tickets; you must collect your tickets by 15:30 at the latest and wait at the bus stop opposite the Zen Dragon Gorge restaurant. The resort will arrange for free shuttle buses to take you to the starting point of the rafting.
