The Xisha Islands are the largest archipelago in terms of land area in the South China Sea of China. It starts from Beijiao in the north, reaches Xianqu Beach in the south, starts from Xidu Beach in the east, and ends at Zhongjian Island in the west. It is under the jurisdiction of Xisha District, Sansha City, Hainan Province. The Xisha Islands are distributed in a sea area of more than 500,000 square kilometers. There are a total of 22 islands, 7 sandbanks, 8 atolls, 1 platform reef, and 1 reef beach. The total land area is about 10 square kilometers, and the coastline is 518 kilometers long. Among them, Yongxing Island is the largest, with an area of 3.2 square kilometers (including Shidao). Shidao is the highest, with an altitude of 15.9 meters. Gaojianshi on Dongdao Atoll is a volcanic breccia island in the South China Sea. Open all year round from 08:00 to 18:00.
