The Xisha Islands Cruise Center is a sought-after destination for major cruise lines such as Carnival, Royal Caribbean, and Star Cruises, which have chosen to operate multiple routes stopping in Sanya. The center has accommodated over 380 domestic and international cruises.
In response to the national directive to vigorously develop the cruise economy, the Phase II project of Sanya Phoenix Island International Cruise Port is underway, which includes the construction of one 30,000-ton and one 100,000-ton wharf, two 150,000-ton wharfs, and one 250,000-ton wharf. Upon completion, the Xisha Islands Cruise Center will be capable of berthing six international cruise ships ranging from 30,000 to 250,000 tons, making it one of Asia’s premium cruise homeports in terms of scale and construction standards.
