Xishan Park is located by the Cangji River in Haining City, covering an area of 165 acres. The park, nestled against the mountains and beside the water, boasts a pleasant scenery; within the park, the lush greenery and winding paths invite exploration. It is a comprehensive park that integrates leisure and entertainment. Xishan, also known as Ziwei Mountain, is an important part of the unique urban landscape of Xiaoshi, characterized by ‘two mountains flanking a river,’ with a rich cultural heritage and a strong mythological hue.

The park contains more than twenty attractions of various sizes, including the White Crane Pavilion, Triangle Pavilion, Phoenix Pavilion, Peace Pavilion, and Half Pavilion, all adorned with colored glaze, carved beams, and painted rafters, hidden deep within the greenery. Attractions such as the Martyr’s Pavilion, Nine-turn Corridor, winding paths, fairyland tours, Yanxia Cave, and the Eight Immortals Platform are scattered throughout the mountains.

The Ziwei Pavilion on the top of Xishan, a landmark of Haining City, is a building full of cultural atmosphere and tourism value. There is also the tomb of the modern famous poet Xu Zhimo, which was reconstructed in the mid-eighties, with the tombstone being the only relic from the old tomb. Traces of human destruction can still be faintly seen, located beside the Baishui Spring in the Wanshi Cave.

The park is open all year round, accessible 24/7.
