XiuShan Gate Museum is a distinctive museum showcasing the regional culture of Chizhou, primarily exhibiting artifacts such as wood carvings, stone carvings, and brick carvings. The museum also houses a collection of celebrity calligraphy and paintings, ceramics, bronze wares, jade objects, and more. With a rich and high-quality collection, it primarily displays ancient architectural and sculptural arts, reflecting people’s living environment, aesthetic taste, and ethical education from a side.
The museum holds over 4000 pieces of cultural relics, including 11 second-grade relics. The basic exhibition design is as follows: the first floor is ‘Shi Cheng Ancient Charm’, mainly for stone carving art display; the second floor is ‘Qiu Pu Legacy’, a wood component display hall; the third floor is ‘Chi Yang Scenery’, an ancient residence display hall; the fourth floor is ‘Ji Xian Hall’, a Chizhou regional culture display hall; and the fifth floor ‘Wen Xuan Building’, a display hall for Zhao Ming culture. Additionally, there is a fine collection room within the museum, mainly collecting celebrity calligraphy and paintings, ceramics, bronze wares, jade objects, and other artifacts.
