Xu Songnian’s Former Residence, constructed in the first year of the Daoguang Emperor’s reign during the Qing Dynasty, stands as an ancient residential building with a history of over a century.
The residence, facing south and built with a brick and wood structure, is a grand three-section ancient dwelling, covering an area of approximately 1800 square meters. It embodies the characteristics of the official residences in the Jiangnan region during the Ming and Qing dynasties.
