The Xu Zhimo Memorial Hall is situated in the Xiacheng District of Hangzhou City. Upon first encounter with the memorial hall, one is greeted by poems engraved on white walls, amidst the interplay of time, with grey bricks and tiles, vintage archways, and stained glass.
The hall presents a richly illustrated account of Xu Zhimo’s life, from his birth, growth, rise to fame, to his passing. Every detail is captured in black and white old photographs, heartfelt descriptions, volumes of poetry and paintings, and scenes that bring the classics back to life, offering endless aftertaste.
The memorial hall is open all year round, from Tuesday to Sunday, from 09:00 to 16:30.
