Xuejia Island is located within the Huangdao District of Qingdao Economic Development Zone, serving as a tourist area on the outskirts of Qingdao city. It is surrounded by the sea on three sides, boasting an extensive coastline where the renowned Gold Sand Beach is situated.
Xuejia Island is not only known for its enchanting coastal scenery but also for Zhuchai Island, located east of Gold Sand Beach in the sea, which is an international fishing base attracting numerous anglers annually. From May to October, people flock to this location for vacations. The beach is flat with fine sand, gentle winds, and calm waves, allowing visitors to swim in the sea, bask in the sun and sea breeze on the beach, or ride water scooters and speedboats to enjoy the thrill of the summer waves.
Although the sea water is not suitable for swimming during the spring and autumn seasons, the bathing beach becomes an ideal place for coastal walks and sightseeing. By following the beachside path up to the small hill, one can overlook the beautiful coastal arc of the entire bathing beach.
