Xuhui Binjiang Avenue is located along the Huangpu River to the east, extends to Fengxi Road to the west, starts from the China Aviation Oil Depot to the south, and reaches Rui Ning Road to the north, spanning a total length of 3.6 kilometers. The Dapu Road Tunnel and Longyao Road Tunnel connect the Pudong World Expo Park with Xuhui Binjiang Avenue. The first phase of the project covers an area equivalent to four Xuhui parks, with public green spaces amounting to 140,000 square meters. The traffic system of the open space consists of a landscape avenue, leisure bicycle paths, water-friendly walkways, and a reserved lane for future development.

This area was formerly the site of the Longhua Airport. Now, it has been transformed into broad avenues, with riverside docks converted into water-friendly landscapes. Lined with shady trees and dimly lit art street lamps, the wooden walkways extend into the river, and intentionally preserved elements such as iron bollards for mooring ships, old rubber rings, and cranes are a testament to the past.

Walking along the avenue, one can also see historical remnants like the cement factory’s pre-mixed storage, coal conveyor belts, Beitou Dock cranes, and the Nanpu Station freight warehouse. A water tower has been transformed into a large artistic white magnolia, emitting colorful lights in the night. The newly constructed Longhua Port Bridge is adorned with floodlights, presenting a splendid spectacle.

Strolling along the Binjiang Avenue, one can listen to the surging river, watch the shimmering waves, feel the gentle river breeze, admire the full moon overhead, observe the river lapping at the shore, and gaze into the distant beauty of the World Expo Park.
