The Xun Art Museum is a non-profit public art institution in Shunde, Guangdong. It was founded by collector Wu Meiman and she also serves as the curator. The museum officially opened on September 12, 2020. The art museum is located in OCT Happy Coast, Shunde District, Guangdong Province. The exhibition hall has three floors with an area of about 1000 square meters. It was designed by Jian Junkai of DUO Architectural Design Office. Adhering to the action concept of ‘glocalization’, the Xun Art Museum attempts to integrate domestic and foreign resources in the process of contemporary art practice, combine high-standard and diversified forms of artistic expression, establish an integrated operation mechanism of exhibitions, academic research and public projects, and continuously promote dialogues between tradition and contemporary, local and international. Starting from the publicity of art, the Xun Art Museum takes sculpture and installation art as observation objects, sorts out their evolution and changes in historical scenarios with genealogical thinking and attitude, and broadens the concept’s extension by taking exhibitions and archives as methods. In detailed archival records and sorting, the Xun Art Museum hopes to discover multiple possibilities of art’s ‘presence’. Opening hours: From June 8 to October 8, Tuesday to Sunday, 10:00 – 18:00; closed all day on Monday throughout the year. Preferential policies: Children: Free for those under 1.0m (inclusive). Elderly: Free for elders aged 65 years old (inclusive) and above with valid certificates.
