Xunpu Village is home to descendants of ancient Arabs, who, despite intermarrying with the local Han Chinese over generations, have preserved their Central Asian heritage, primarily evident in their oyster shell houses and the distinctive headwear of Xunpu women.

Xunpu women style their hair with flowers, adorn themselves with cloves earrings, and dress in large skirts and wide-legged pants, creating a unique cultural charm.

The headwear of Xunpu women, characterized by ‘wearing a flower circle and inserting ivory chopsticks,’ has been passed down from Central Asia since the Song Dynasty.

Xunpu Village is open to visitors all year round, with full-day access.
