The Shell Museum is a comprehensive exhibition hall located in the center of Yalong Bay, integrating shell science popularization, exhibition, and sales. The shells here are exquisite and unique, with some being rare sights. The museum’s interior is dominated by natural and warm colors, reflecting the endless charm of the underwater world.
The exhibition hall is divided into five major maritime regions, displaying over 300 representative shells from around the world. A variety of rare and colorful shells and corals are on display, ranging from precious nautilus shells to common small conches. Symbolizing purity, there are angel wing conchs, vibrant Australian sea fans, living fossils such as the red turban snail and nautilus, and more. Visitors can also admire the worm cluster snail, which resembles a burdened elder, the angel wing snail from the Atlantic, and the giant snake snail from the South China Sea.
In addition to viewing, purchasing some shell products here as souvenirs or mementos is an excellent choice. The opening hours and business status are subject to the day’s availability.
