Yandun Mountain Pagoda

Fufeng Wen Tower, also known as Yan Dun Mountain Pagoda, was built in September of the 36th year of the Wanli period in the Ming Dynasty (1608) by the county magistrate Cai Shanji. The tower is a seven-story octagonal pavilion-style brick structure. It features a flat seat, with alternating layers of corner bricks and line bricks creating an eaves effect. Standing at 24.5 meters tall, the tower was originally hollow but was renovated in 1952, turning the top three levels into solid structures. The pagoda’s spire is in the shape of a treasure bottle and is cast in iron. Currently, the first three levels of the tower are open to the public, allowing visitors to climb and enjoy panoramic views of the Zhongshan city area. The tower has been adorned with lighting, making it even more splendid and brilliant at night. The opening hours and business status are subject to the day’s operational conditions.
