Yanfeng Temple is located on the Hengshan Yanfeng Peak, 0.5 kilometers south of Hengyang City in Hunan Province.
The main Buddhist structures currently preserved at Yanfeng Temple are the Guanyin Hall and the Shoufo Hall. The founding patriarch of the temple is Hongxuan Lawyer, and some of the well-known abbots include Shaokang Monk. The temple primarily follows the Linji Zen lineage, and in recent times, Vinaya masters have also taught Vinaya studies within its premises.
