The Yangjiang Lacquerware Museum is located within the Yangjiang Lacquer Art Institute and was established as a folk museum at the end of 2016. It features the Yangjiang Lacquerware History Exhibition Hall, the Yangjiang Lacquer Art Boutique Exhibition Hall, the Yangjiang Lacquer Art Production Process Dynamic Exhibition Area, and the Yangjiang Lacquer Art Cultural Products Sales Hall, displaying over 300 representative lacquerware and lacquer paintings. The Yangjiang Lacquer Art Institute is a provincial intangible cultural heritage transmission base and a key cultural construction project of the Yangjiang Municipal Government. On March 6, 2014, it was recognized by the Ministry of Culture as a ‘National Intangible Cultural Heritage Representative Project Protection Unit’. Therefore, the Yangjiang Lacquer Art Institute carries the responsibility of rescuing, inheriting, and developing the endangered national intangible cultural heritage inventory ‘Lacquerware Decoration Skills’ (Yangjiang Lacquerware Decoration Skills). Opening hours are from 1/1 to 12/31, 09:00-18:00.
