Yangmeiling Village is located to the west of Shuile Cave and to the south of Wengjia Mountain. It is said that in ancient times, this place was known for its ‘Golden Granny Bayberries’, which were sweet and famous far and wide. These are now being gradually restored, and in the future, enjoying bayberries on Yangmeiling will become a major characteristic of the village.
The rural residences of Yangmeiling Village are traditional mountain Min Opera styles, with many old houses that make visitors feel as if they are not in Hangzhou. Along the way, there are layers of mountains and lush, moist vegetation, with clear streams flowing swiftly and slowly, comparable to the scenic beauty of West Tianmu Mountain. There is a historical site, Li’an Temple. The famous ‘Nine Streams and Eighteen Streams’ in Hangzhou originate from Yangjiawo in Yangmeiling, where the streams from Qingwan, Hongfa, Fangjia, Bai Zhang, Tangjia, Foshi, Yunqi, Zhutou, and Xiaokang converge into a river, and then flow into the Qiantang River through Xu Village; the Eighteen Streams are located southwest of Yanxia Cave, originating from Longjing Village in Longjing, winding through the forest, and converging with many streams such as Poet’s Isle and Sunwen Long to form streams. The ‘Nine Streams and Eighteen Streams’ are named accordingly. Opening hours are subject to the actual operating status on the day.Yangmeiling Village
