Yangshan Little Guilin is a natural scenic area located about 12 kilometers southeast of Yangshan County in Qingyuan City. It embodies the magnificent and beautiful lakes and mountains of Lingnan, hence the saying ‘Yangshuo’s landscapes surpass Guilin, and Yangshan’s landscapes surpass Qingyuan.’ The renowned calligrapher and painter Guan Shanyue once sketched here, deeply moved by the affectionate and graceful postures of the landscape, and thus named the scenic area around Shuikou Town as ‘Little Guilin.’ Yangshan Little Guilin has since gained great fame. The waters here meander and twist, with green hills undulating along both sides of the river. The cliffs are adorned with peculiar and intricate stalactites due to the special geological structure, adding to the charm of the verdant pastoral scenery and the antique Lingnan dwellings that embellish the landscape, creating a captivating picture that rivals the landscapes of Lijiang in Yangshuo. Open from January 1st to December 31st from 08:30 to 18:00.
