Yanhe Lane Historical and Cultural District is situated between Xinpu Park and the Longhai Pedestrian Street Ladies’ Street, covering an area of 20,000 square meters. The first phase of construction encompasses an area of 7,500 square meters, with the entire complex designed in the style of Ming and Qing Dynasties’ architectural groups.
The district spans 440 meters in total, with an east-west length of 280 meters and a north-south length of 160 meters. It is divided into three distinct functional zones: the leisure experience area, the cultural shopping area, and the dining and entertainment area.
The business types are primarily focused on the cultural industry, interspersed with branded commerce, tea houses, leisure catering, and antique calligraphy and paintings. Walking through Yanhe Lane Historical and Cultural District, one can feel the profound salt culture at every turn.
There is a large-scale salt-making panoramic relief wall along the street, and the district also features bronze sculptures and water wheels that display the process of salt production and sales. The relief paintings at the wishing well are modeled after the Hundred Flowers Fairy from the book ‘Jing Hua Yuan’, combined with the city flower of Gangcheng – the magnolia, to create a beautiful image of the Magnolia Fairy.
