According to legend, after the magistrate Mao Kui of the Song Dynasty stepped down from office and entered Nanshan. When he reached this wooden bridge here, he flew away and disappeared without a trace. To commemorate Mao Kui, the locals called this wooden bridge ‘Yanshou Bridge’. Legend has it that walking on it can prolong life.
