The Yantai Mountain Scenic Area is located at the northern end of Yantai urban area. It is a mountain and sea park surrounded by the sea on three sides. The guardrail full of red concentric locks is a good place for taking pictures. During the Tongzhi period of the Qing Dynasty, Yantai became the first trading port in Shandong. At that time, more than a dozen countries established consulates or acting consulates in Yantai. Some of these buildings have now become beautiful scenic spots in the Yantai Mountain Scenic Area, including the former sites of the consulates of the United Kingdom, the United States, Denmark and Japan.
