Yaoming Academy, covering an area of over 20 acres, draws on the regulations of ancient academies and integrates Chaoshan region’s folk culture and traditional crafts. It combines the functions of an academy and a family temple, education and ancestor worship, as well as arts and communication. The entire academy includes intricately carved and antique-style Chaoshan houses; magnificent Beijing Siheyuan; a 400-meter cultural corridor adorned with calligraphy, painting, poetry, and colorful embroidery; an enchanting Chaozhou-style ancient stage; and a backyard garden that captures the essence of Suzhou and Hangzhou gardens, as well as the charm of Lingnan gardens.
