Yaoxiang National Forest Park

Yaoxiang National Forest Park is located in the eastern suburb of Tai’an City. It is 33 kilometers away from the urban area and 8 kilometers away from the main peak of Mount Tai. It is named after being rich in medicinal plants. Sun Simiao, the king of medicine, once planted and collected herbs here. In addition to Polygonum multiflorum, Lithospermum erythrorhizon, Codonopsis lanceolata, and Solomon’s seal, which are known as the four famous medicinal herbs of Mount Tai, there are also more than 200 precious varieties such as Mount Tai ganoderma lucidum, Dioscorea nipponica, and Cordyceps sinensis. Inside the forest park, there are historical relics such as Dou Jiande’s Mapao Spring, Sun Simiao’s Medicine King Temple, and large-scale sacrificial buildings of the Qin and Han Dynasties. The green coverage rate reaches more than 95%. In autumn, strolling in the valley, the colorful red leaves combined with waterfalls and clouds form a gorgeous picture, which is astonishing. In addition to the beautiful scenery, in the parent-child paradise, you can also challenge entertainment projects such as suspended bridges, mesh walkways, footpaths, wooden barrels, Mount Tai swings, and flying fox cableways. Opening hours: Open from 08:30 to 17:00 all year round. Preferential policies: Children: Those under 1.3 meters (inclusive) in height are free.
