Ye Tian Li Miao Style Village is located at the 18th exit of the LingShui-YingZhou section of the East Line Expressway in Hainan. It is a place where coconut trees stand tall and the scenery is enchanting. Within the village lies the Longmen village, which has a history of over 300 years. Stepping into the coconut grove, the rural atmosphere that envelops you gives a sense of returning to simplicity. The village is home to numerous natural wonders, including children climbing trees faster than monkeys, the sound of ‘ding dong lang long’, the Miao King’s drum, and the astonishing and unique ethnic sports performances that truly amaze visitors!
The village also features original Li Miao style songs and dances, and there are more than twenty cultural wonders that showcase the ancient atmosphere of the Li and Miao people’s slash-and-burn agriculture. These include Li Miao residential areas, distilleries, breweries, granaries, husking machines, thatched houses, weddings; tattooed grandmothers weaving cloth, Miao manual tie-dyeing, and embroidery. The village also displays the attire of the five major Li sub-ethnic groups. It can be considered a museum of Li and Miao culture; with the weathered and graceful century-old coconut trees, one can feel the wonder of nature’s craftsmanship.
The enchanting tropical pastoral scenery and the magical legends of the people form a symphony of Li and Miao love stories. The village also boasts a bustling ethnic handicraft market and a street filled with various tropical fruits of Hainan.
