The Ye’s Overseas Chinese Former Residence, constructed in 1937, was independently designed by Indonesian overseas Chinese. It incorporates features of ancient architecture such as ventilation, lighting, fire prevention, theft prevention, and air raid protection. The residence was built by renowned craftsmen from Hui’an and was listed as a municipal cultural heritage site in June 2001.
