Yi Mountain is located ten kilometers southeast of Zoucheng City. It has been renowned since the Qin and Han dynasties and is one of the nine famous mountains in ancient China, known for its historical significance.
The peculiarity of Yi Mountain lies in its rare giant stone landscapes. The mountain boasts a cluster of granitic megaliths, resplendent stone forests, and peculiarly shaped granite boulders that form various natural sculptures, exquisitely beautiful and mystical. Although the mountain is not particularly high, it embodies the grandeur of Mount Tai, the peculiarity of Yellow Mountain, and the danger of Mount Hua, creating a unique natural beauty. Its structural layout is well-organized; each step reveals a different view, full of mystery; it is interconnected and varies in its undulations. It may present new imagery with a hidden world or subtle clues that span across the landscape. Coupled with the misty atmosphere, it conveys emotions and captures the soul. Confucius, Mencius, Qin Shi Huang, Li Si, Sima Qian, Hua Tuo, Li Bai, Du Fu, Su Dongpo, Wang Anshi, Ouyang Xiu, Huang Tingjian, Lu Fangweng, Zhao Mengfu, Dong Qichang, and Zheng Banqiao have all visited and appreciated the scenic beauty of Yi Mountain.
