YiCheng Ancient Path is located in Lianfeng Village, Beiyang Town, Huangyan, situated at YiCheng Ridge. It starts from Touda Bridge, passes through Chaoji, and reaches the top of YiCheng Ridge, with a total length of 12 kilometers. In ancient times, it served as the boundary mountain between Huangyan and Linhai counties. On November 16th of the 10th year of the Xianfeng era of the Qing Dynasty (1861), when the Taiping Army led by Li Shi Xian attacked Huangyan for the second time, they fought fiercely with the Taizhou militia on YiCheng Ridge. The ancient path here is mostly paved with stones, with a width of over 1.5 meters. Along the path, besides the chest-high grass and tall trees, there are lush bamboo forests, and countless large and small maple trees line the way. In a short time, you should be able to see the sky filled with red maple leaves. If you want to take a leisurely stroll along this ancient path, you can choose the top of YiCheng Ridge as your hiking destination. It will take less than two hours to walk this part of the path, making it suitable for family outings with children. Of course, if you want to make the journey more challenging, you can walk from Huangyan to Linhai along the ancient path. Opening hours are all year round, open all day.
