The Yidi Mausoleum is the mausoleum of Yidi in the late Qin Dynasty. It has a history of more than 2200 years. It is a witness to the history of Chenzhou. It has experienced the ups and downs of Chenzhou’s historical evolution and has become an important symbol of Chenzhou as a famous historical and cultural city. The Yidi Mausoleum now covers an area of 3539 square meters. On its east and west sides are very prosperous streets in Chenzhou. Its layout is in accordance with the historical original shape. With the tomb mound and the sacred way as the north-south axis, ornamental columns and stele protection pavilions are symmetrically arranged on both sides in turn. The tomb mound of the Yidi Mausoleum is semicircular, 5.2 meters high, with a bottom diameter of 8.5 meters. The base of the earth mound is surrounded by granite with a height of 0.6 meters. The corridor around the mausoleum is 1 meter wide. The granite sacrificial hall flat is 10 meters long and 2 meters wide. In front of the mausoleum stands a white marble stele 2.35 meters high, on which are the four characters “Tomb of Yidi” in official script. A white marble offering table is placed close in front of the stele. The slopes and steps around are made of granite. There are a total of 9 steps. At the bottom of the steps, a pair of 6.4-meter marble ornamental columns are restored and vertically placed. There is a traditional Chinese couplet engraved on it: “There should be companions on the towerhead and cranes should return. There is no one on the plain and no one herds sheep anymore.” The specific business status of the opening hours is subject to the opening situation on that day.
