The Yijiangshan Island Scenic Area is 11 kilometers south of Dachen Island, 8 kilometers north of Toumenshan Island, 12 kilometers northeast of Gaodao, 20 kilometers southwest of Langji Mountain, and 35 kilometers northwest of Haimen. It is a small island mainly composed of two islands, South Yijiang and North Yijiang. It is famous at home and abroad due to the landing battle on Yijiangshan Island. The Martyrs Cemetery for Liberating Yijiangshan Island is built on the northern slope of Fengshan in Jiaojiang urban area. It is a key cultural relic protection unit in Zhejiang Province. The main buildings include a memorial tower, an archway, a stele pavilion, a martyrs memorial hall, sculptures, and inscriptions. More than 400 martyrs are buried in the cemetery. It receives about 100,000 tomb sweepers and visitors every year. It has been included in the national patriotism education base and is also a major tourist scenic area in Jiaojiang urban area. When tourists go to Yijiangshan Island, they can find trenches all over the island.
