Ying Shi Garden is one of the largest themed parks in China dedicated to Ying Shi stones. It integrates the display of peculiar stones, sightseeing tours, and trading transactions, dividing into five main sections: Ying Shi Ancient Architecture Street, Large Ying Shi Exhibition Area, Ying Shi Museum, Proprietary Small Stone Pavilions, and Ying Shi Landscaping Experience Field.
Inside and outside the Chinese Ying Shi Garden, peculiar stones of various sizes stand tall, each with a simple and weathered appearance, vividly lifelike, and diverse in form. They are paired up to create picturesque scenes, like poetry and painting, making one’s eyes feast on the beauty. From the valuable Ying Shi ‘Flying Dragon in the Sky’, a national treasure from Yingde worth millions, to the thousands of tons of garden stones, the Chinese Ying Shi Garden presents a magical world of Ying Shi, allowing you to feel the long-standing history and connotation of Ying Shi culture.
Yingde, known for its abundance of Ying Shi, was listed as one of the ‘Four Treasures of the Study’ in the Yuan Dynasty and was later acclaimed alongside Taihu Stone, Lingbi Stone, and Yellow Wax Stone during the Qing Dynasty, recognized as one of the four famous stones in the country. The natural characteristics of Ying Shi – ‘thin, wrinkled, perforated, and transparent’ – make it highly ornamental and collectible, favored by literati and scholars. Currently, Yingde has become a major distribution center for garden stones led by Ying Shi in southern China.
