The epic intangible cultural heritage performance, ‘Yinggeqing’, explores and constructs the millennia-old humanistic history of Chaoshan. With a perspective that transcends time and space, it presents a broad view of the rich cultural tapestry of the land, interpreting the spiritual essence of Yingge dance and the spirit of the new era. Through five chapters, ‘Ancient Chaoshan Fire’, ‘Decisive Battle in Chaoshan’, ‘Peaceful and Contented Living’, ‘Universal Celebration’, and ‘Yingge with Affection’, it inspires unity and struggle, love for home, gratitude and respect for the virtuous, and understanding of human emotions and reason.
The Yinggeqing Theater is equipped with a rare nine-dimensional space holographic screen, coupled with an ultra-large-scale rotating stage matrix.
