Located in Linyi City, the Yinqueshan Han Tombs Bamboo Slips Museum is a site-specific museum in China dedicated to Han Dynasty bamboo slips. The museum gained international fame for the simultaneous excavation of bamboo slips of ‘The Art of War’ by Sun Tzu and ‘The Art of War’ by Sun Bin in 1972 at the Yinqueshan Han Tombs. It has been listed as one of the ‘Top Ten Archaeological Discoveries of the First 30 Years of New China’ and ‘100 Major Archaeological Discoveries of the 20th Century in China’. Covering an area of 10,000 square meters, construction began in February 1981 and was completed in September 1989.
In recent years, with the rapid development of Linyi’s tourism industry, the Yinqueshan Han Tombs Bamboo Slips Museum has added numerous attractions and improved its supporting tourism facilities, making it an important site for the study of Chinese archaeology. Opening hours are all year round, closed on Mondays; open from Tuesday to Sunday from 09:00 to 17:00. Preferential policies: 1. Free admission for people aged 70 and above; active military personnel with valid ID cards are admitted free of charge. 2. Discounted admission for students with student IDs; people aged 60-69 with senior citizen cards are eligible for a half-price discount. 3.
