Yinshan Pagoda Forest is located in the northern part of Beijing, within the Ming Tombs Special Area, approximately 60 kilometers away from the city center by car, making it an ideal destination for tourists who enjoy exploring ancient sites. The scenic area was originally the site of the famous Fahua Zen Temple, which was later destroyed, leaving only the ancient pagodas within the temple grounds. Among them, the five pagodas from the Jin Dynasty period on the square are relatively well-preserved, with their simple and grand appearance offering a strong sense of antiquity and historical depth.

The area of Yinshan Pagoda Forest is not large, with the main attraction being the square where the five ancient pagodas are located. Visitors can take photographs of the pagodas, capturing the simple grandeur that results in very appealing images. The pagoda forest is backed by Yinshan Mountain, which has been known since ancient times as the ‘Silver Mountain Iron Wall’, referring to the pristine whiteness of the mountain when it snows, and the steep cliffs on one side that do not accumulate snow. Visitors to the scenic area can also climb the small mountain for leisure, observe the steep cliffs, and explore numerous small, unnamed ancient pagodas scattered throughout the mountain. Additionally, taking an aerial view of the five pagodas from the mountaintop is quite impressive.
