Yinjiaoling Nature Reserve, an extension of the primitive forest of Shennongjia, has an average altitude of 1900 meters and is a pristine forest area within Chongqing. The main peak, Yinjiaoling, reaches an elevation of 2796.8 meters. The reserve spans over 450,000 acres, encompassing 13 villages across Shuangyang, Tongcheng, and Lanying townships, with over 120,000 acres designated as the core area, including Daguan Mountain and Baiguo forest areas.
Over 1500 plant species thrive within the reserve, featuring diverse representative ecosystems and a significant number of endangered species. Commonly found are 15 nationally protected plants such as ginkgo, Davidia involucrata, wintersweet, Thuja sutchuenensis, and taxus. Exotic flora such as ‘One Pearl on Top’, ‘Seven Leaves One Flower’, ‘King Wen’s Pen’, and ‘A Bowl of Water by the River’ can be seen everywhere. The reserve is also home to over 300 species of nationally protected wildlife, including golden eagles, white bears, white foxes, and red pandas, which roam the forest.

The vast sea of trees in the forest is boundless, with clouds and rosy clouds. Attractions such as ‘Tiger-Fighting Flat’, ‘Male and Female Springs’, ‘Mountain of Ten Thousand Snakes’, ‘Life-Losing Mound’, ‘Dying Beach’, ‘King of Hell’s Nose’, and ‘Ghost Gate’ are thrilling. The mystery of ‘Wild Men’ and the Lanying Stockade captivate the imagination. The reserve is open all year round from 8:00 to 17:00.
