The Yiwu Museum was formerly the Public Education Center established in 1972. It is one of the county-level museums established relatively early in China. The exhibition halls mainly feature the exhibition of Yiwu’s historical sites and special exhibitions. The historical sites are displayed according to historical evolution, showing cultural relics from the Neolithic Age to the Ming and Qing Dynasties and the historical sites of major local historical celebrities. The collection is relatively rich and has a strong regional cultural atmosphere. The collections are classified and collected according to stoneware, jade ware, ceramics, bronze ware, iron ware, gold and silver ware, calligraphy and paintings, etc. Especially the original celadon of the Western Zhou Dynasty, the porcelain of Wuzhou kiln in the Six Dynasties, the gold and silver ware in the Song Dynasty, and the porcelain of Longquan kiln in the Yuan Dynasty are very distinctive.
