Yong’anxi, the mother river of Xianju, offers a serene and thrilling experience through its bamboo rafting adventure. The current section of Yong’anxi Bamboo Rafting spans a total distance of 7.68 kilometers, utilizing specially made bamboo rafts crafted from local Xianju materials. As you embark on this journey, you’ll float through the stream, flanked by towering green mountains, capturing the essence of the phrase, “A small bamboo raft floats in the stream, with towering green mountains on both sides.” The experience is a blend of the tranquility of flat waters and the exhilaration of navigating rapids, providing a respite from the city’s chaos. The crystal-clear water, the azure sky, and the distant mountains create an atmosphere of gentle warmth and tranquility, akin to flowing water, while the captivating pastoral scenery along the banks adds to the charm.
The wharf, serving as the starting point for Yong’anxi Bamboo Rafting, is situated in Ximen Village, Bulu Township, a convenient 8 kilometers from Xianju County. It is enveloped by picturesque landscapes and boasts easy accessibility. The wharf’s architecture is a blend of simplicity and elegance, with a distinctive style. The pavilions, towers, and buildings are meticulously arranged, and the long corridors with their flying eaves, red pillars, and blue tiles, along with the pebble-walled waiting hall, offer a refreshing and unique experience. The bamboo-like fencing and well-tended greenery make it an ideal spot for tourists to wait and rest.
Kuaihualin, a scenic spot nestled in the middle section of the rafting route, is bordered by Yong’anxi to the north and a verdant bamboo forest to the south. This forest is a haven for a diverse array of birds, including long-beaked species and egrets, adding another layer of natural beauty to the rafting experience.A Hidden Paradise Along the Rafting Route
