The full name of this place is ‘Yongding Hongkeng Hakka Tulou Folk Culture Village’, where the essence of Yongding Tulou is gathered. Visitors can also enjoy the local folk performances such as Hakka dragon dance, wedding customs, Hakka mountain songs, and leaf blowing. The ‘Prince of Tulou’, Zhencheng Building, is one of the most magnificent structures in the scenic area. The scenic area also features the Potala Palace-style Tulou – Kuiju Building, the quintessential Wu Feng Building, and the outstanding representative of Yongding’s government-style Tulou – Fuyu Building, as well as the ‘pocket-sized Tulou’, Rusheng Building. These buildings are scattered along the stream, integrated with green mountains, clear waters, and lush bamboo fields.
The Prince of Tulou – Zhencheng Building, built in 1912, features a cantilever beam structure with an outer and inner circle, creating a unique layout of buildings within buildings. This building, with its exquisite structure and magnificent appearance, still retains the calligraphy of famous figures such as Sun Yat-sen and Li Yuanhong.

The Potala Palace-style Tulou – Kuiju Building is built against the mountain, surrounded by mountains and water, and has stood firm for 200 years. This Tulou, with its palatial structure and square shape, has a grandeur reminiscent of the Potala Palace. The carvings, colored sculptures, and paintings within the building, depicting flowers, birds, people, landscapes, pavilions, and stories, are all vivid and full of Hakka historical charm.

The government-style Tulou – Fuyu Building is an outstanding representative of Yongding’s government-style Tulou, with a magnificent appearance. The structure is orderly in height and clear in hierarchy, integrating seamlessly with the slope behind the building, making it even more majestic. The building’s shape resembles three mountains, symbolizing the ‘three mountains’ of the three brothers who owned the building.

The pocket-sized Tulou – Rusheng Building is a small and exquisite round Tulou among the many in Yongding, with a single circular building, a round patio inside, and a roof that is八卦-shaped on the inside edge and circular on the outside edge. The building houses six families, with compact and orderly living spaces. The opening hours are from 08:30 to 17:00 all year round.
