Yonghe Bridge was initially built in the first year of the Ming Dynasty’s Chenghua period (1465), named Yongning. It was destroyed by fire during the Shunzhi period (1644-1661). It was rebuilt and renamed in the 57th year of the Kangxi period (1718). In the fifth year of the Xianfeng period (1855), two piers were washed away by floods, and the bridge was repaired in the following year. In the summer of 1911, the bridge was again washed away by a mountain flood, and it was repaired and reinforced the next year.

The bridge is open all year round from 8:00 to 18:00.
