Youth Lake Park is located in the eastern part of Dongcheng District, Beijing, on the west side of Andingmen Outer Street. Originally a large pond, it was excavated into a lake in 1958, and by 1960, hills were constructed, roads were built, pavilions and bridges were established, gradually forming a modern park covering an area of 169,800 square meters, with a water area of 63,800 square meters and 16,000 trees.
The park features both the natural beauty of plant communities and the garden art of flower sculptures and plant shapes, showcasing its unique horticultural style. It is one of the first parks in Beijing to meet the ‘no exposed soil’ standard. The park’s sightseeing areas include various distinctive scenic spots such as Shuoyuan, Baochunyu, Hetang, Shenglanxuan, and Yiyuan. The amusement facilities are innovative and diverse, including racing cars, bumper cars, pirate ships, and aerial combat games. There is also a free children’s playground, gateball court, and fitness equipment. A rich array of water entertainment activities adds color to the park’s summer days, with boat rides and fishing on the lake offering a leisurely and enjoyable experience. Under the night sky, colorful lights and a surround-sound open-air dance floor help people unwind after a busy day. Opening Hours: The park is open all year round from 06:00 to 21:00. The water park is open from 10:00 to 18:00 on weekdays, with ticket sales ending at 17:30; on Saturdays and Sundays, it is open from 09:00 to 19:00, with ticket sales ending at 18:30.Youth Lake Park
