The Yu Jing Memorial Hall is located in Yuxiang Alley on Jianguo Road in Shaoguan city. It is a rather large-scale, simple and elegant antique-style building. It was rebuilt in 1999 to commemorate the 1000th anniversary of the birth of Yu Jing, a famous official in the Song Dynasty. The newly-built Yu Xianggong Temple is a multi-story duplex building with the characteristics of ancient Lingnan dwellings. The total construction area is 273 square meters. It has one hall and five rooms, two entrances and three gates, and a multi-story tower. The ‘Fengcai Hall’ is solemn, elegant and unique. On the west side of the Fengcai Hall stands a finely engraved marble stele inscription: on the left is engraved with Ouyang Xiu’s ‘Inscription on Yu Jing’s Divine Stele’ of the Song Dynasty; on the right is engraved with ‘Biography of Yu Zhongxian Gong’. Inside the Fengcai Hall is the magnificent ‘Fengcai Liufang Pavilion’. Inside the pavilion sits a vivid wooden sculpture of Yu Jing. Opening hours: Open from 09:00 to 12:00 all year round; Open from 14:30 to 18:00 all year round.
