Yuan Jun Temple is located at the entrance of Tao Hua Valley in Tai’an City. Within the temple complex, ancient pines stretch their long branches to cover the top, and giant cypresses spiral to block the sunlight.
On the cliffs to the west, north, and south, there used to be a poem by Emperor Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty titled ‘Peach Blossom Valley’: ‘Spring arrives with peach blossoms everywhere, the valley’s name seems to emulate the Wuling. Five ancient pines are not seen, not a speck has ever been tainted.’ This inscription was unfortunately destroyed after the founding of the People’s Republic of China due to stone quarrying.Yuan Jun Temple
