Yuan Yin Temple

Wei Mountain, known as the foremost among the ‘Eight Sceneries of Zhangqiu’, is located in the central part of Shengjin Town. Wei Mountain derives its name from the ‘Wei’ star in the Twenty-Eight Mansions, and it is renowned for its beautiful scenery and charming landscape, earning the title of ‘Little Mount Tai’.

Yuan Yin Temple, situated within the Wei Mountain Scenic Area, is the first specialized venue for the Heart Center Dharma method. The temple is grand in scale and solemnly serene, named after the Heart Center Dharma’s third patriarch, Yuan Yin Arhat.

Within the temple complex, there is the tomb of Liu Biguang, the King of Jinan during the Eastern Han Dynasty, and Wei Mountain Scenic Area has unearthed Han Dynasty terracotta warriors and horses. The original site of ‘Yuan Yin Temple’ was an old temple built during the Song Dynasty, and the present temple still retains some Song Dynasty artifacts, such as stone turtles and stone tablets of meritorious names.
