Yuanbi ancient village was built in the Song Dynasty. Most of the existing ancient buildings were rebuilt in the Ming and Qing Dynasties. The descendants of Li Tinggong, the minister of punishment of the Northern Song Dynasty, live in Yuanbi ancient village. The Li’s ancestral hall is built in front of Yuanbi Village. On the open space in front of the ancestral hall, there are a pair of large stone lions looking up and four rectangular bluestone flagpole seats. The words ‘Erected by Li Tinggong, Minister of Punishment of the Great Song Dynasty’ are engraved on the bluestone flagpole seats.
