Yuanhongyu Resort is located in Qicheng Village, Liubu Town. According to legend, during the Sui and Tang Dynasties, Buddhism was prevalent in Shandong. The temple was built under the auspices of Yuan Hong and was named Yuanhong Temple. The mountain valley where Yuanhong Temple is located is also called Yuanhongyu. During the Hongwu period of the Ming Dynasty, Yuanhong Temple, as a subsidiary temple of Shentong Temple, was burned down together with Shentong Temple. However, the name of Yuanhongyu valley has been used until now. In Yuanhongyu, there is the site of Yuanhong Temple. Now Yuanhongyu Resort has been built in the valley. There are four famous springs, namely Kuju Spring, Bishu Spring, Qin Spring, and Shicha Spring, distributed in the park. All of them were once selected as one of the 72 famous springs in Jinan. There are also several “cave spring” water sources in the cave. Therefore, it is known as the “southern spring capital”. The charm of Yuanhong Spring was also one of the eight outer scenic spots of Jinan. Kuju Spring, the spring water flows out from the cracks in the rock cliff and never dries up all year round.
