Yuer Hutong

Yuer Hutong is oriented in an east-west direction, starting from Nanluoguxiang in the east and ending at Dongbuya Bridge Hutong in the west. It spans a total length of 343 meters. There are currently 31 courtyards, accommodating 330 households and 790 residents. During the Ming Dynasty, it was known as Yulong Hutong, and in the Qing Dynasty, it was referred to as Yuer Hutong, belonging to the Bordered Yellow Banner. During the reign of Emperor Guangxu, the Bordered Yellow Banner’s office was located on the north side of the hutong.
