Yuexi Academy is located in Baiyun Mountain Scenic Area, Guangzhou. The building complex was built in the 1940s and 1950s. Its predecessor was an English school. The Chinese-style roof, Soviet-style exterior wall, and European-style interior decoration are mixed, with diverse styles and characteristics of multiple periods. There are a total of 6 houses in the academy. The houses are well-arranged and each has its own characteristics. They are rich in Lingnan architectural style, forming a unique Lingnan garden landscape characteristic of small bridges and flowing water, and pavilions and separate courtyards.
