Yuhuan Xuanmenwan Wetland Park is located in the eastern part of Yueqing Bay, on the banks of Xuanmen Bay, facing the Yandang Mountains across the sea, and spans across the towns of Chumen, Qinggang, Lupu, Longxi, and the Haishan Township. The planned total area of the park is 31.48 square kilometers, including 7.06 square kilometers of shallow beach and mudflats, 16.7 square kilometers of water area, with a wetland rate of 90.85%.
The Xuanmen Bay wetland is composed of four types and nine subtypes of wetland resources, including near-sea and coastal wetlands, riverine wetlands, marsh wetlands, and artificial wetlands, which are rich in types and typical.
The park is functionally divided into ecological conservation areas (8.35 square kilometers), restoration and reconstruction areas (5.06 square kilometers), scientific education areas (3.65 square kilometers), reasonable use areas (13.92 square kilometers), and management service areas (0.5 square kilometers). The park is open all year round from 8:30 to 17:00.
