Yunjusi Temple is located in Shuituo Village, Dashiwowo Town, Fangshan District, southwest of Beijing, 70 kilometers away from the city center. It is composed of Yunjusi Temple, the Stone Sutra Mountain Sutra Caves, and the Tang and Liao Pagoda Groups, forming a treasure trove of Chinese Buddhist cultural characteristics.

Yunjusi Temple was originally built at the end of the Sui Dynasty and the beginning of the Tang Dynasty, initially named ‘Zhiquan Temple’, and later renamed ‘Yunjusi Temple’. The temple covers an area of 0.07 square kilometers and has been repaired through the dynasties, forming five courtyards and six halls.

In the 1940s, it was destroyed by Japanese artillery fire and underwent two large-scale restorations after liberation. Yunjusi Temple is a national 4A-level tourist attraction and a national key cultural relics protection unit. Opening hours are from 09:00 to 16:00 all year round.
